Stamped & Decorative Concrete
Get the high-end look of stone, brick, or tile with the durability and value of concrete.

Transform Ordinary Concrete Into Something Beautiful
Decorative concrete lets you have the look you want without sacrificing durability or breaking your budget. Stamped concrete can mimic natural stone, slate, brick, tile, or even wood. The patterns and textures are pressed into the concrete while it's still fresh, creating a permanent design that won't shift or separate like actual pavers would.
Whether you're building a new patio, upgrading your driveway, or creating a stunning entryway, stamped and decorative concrete gives you premium aesthetics at a fraction of the cost of natural materials. And because it's still concrete underneath, you get the strength and longevity concrete is known for.
Design Options and Patterns
Popular Stamping Patterns
We have access to dozens of stamp patterns. Some of the most popular in Carson include ashlar slate (random rectangular stones), cobblestone (rounded stone pattern), running bond brick, and random stone. Each pattern creates a different look and feel. We can show you samples and photos of completed projects to help you choose the right pattern for your home.
Color Options
Color makes a huge difference in the final appearance of stamped concrete. We can add color in several ways. Integral color goes throughout the concrete for consistent color even if the surface gets chipped. Color hardener is broadcast on the surface during finishing for deeper, richer tones. Antiquing release agents create contrast between high and low areas of the pattern, adding depth and realism. And acid stains can create variegated, natural-looking color variations.
Texture and Finish
Beyond the stamped pattern, we can add texture for slip resistance and authenticity. Light textures work well for patios and walkways where you want a refined look. Heavier textures give a more rustic appearance and provide excellent traction around pool decks or outdoor kitchens. Why Choose Stamped Concrete
- Cost effective luxury: Get the look of high-end materials for 30% to 50% less than installing actual stone or pavers.
- One solid surface: Unlike pavers that shift and settle creating uneven spots, stamped concrete stays level and stable.
- Low maintenance: No weeds growing between pavers, no grout lines to clean, no individual stones to reset. Just periodic sealing every few years.
- Customizable design: Mix and match patterns, colors, and borders to create a unique look for your property.
- Durable and long-lasting: When properly installed and maintained, stamped concrete lasts just as long as regular concrete, typically 20 to 30 years or more.
- Increases home value: Decorative concrete significantly boosts curb appeal and can increase property value.
Our Installation Process
Stamped concrete requires more skill and timing than regular concrete work. The stamping and coloring need to happen while the concrete is at just the right stage of hardening. Too soft and the stamps sink too deep. Too hard and the pattern won't take properly.
We start with the same solid foundation as any concrete project: proper excavation, base preparation, and grading. We pour high-quality concrete and strike it off level. If we're using color hardener, we broadcast it onto the fresh surface and work it in with power trowels. Next, we apply release agent which prevents the stamps from sticking and adds accent color.
Then comes the stamping. We work quickly and carefully, pressing the pattern mats into the concrete with consistent pressure to create uniform texture. After the concrete has cured for a day or two, we wash off the excess release agent and apply a protective sealer. The sealer enhances the color, protects the surface, and makes maintenance easier. For homeowners wanting matching decorative work on their driveway, we also provide stamped concrete driveways that coordinate with your other outdoor surfaces.
Maintaining Your Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete is low maintenance but not no maintenance. Plan to reseal your stamped surfaces every 2 to 3 years to protect the color and surface. Cleaning is simple. Just sweep or blow off debris regularly and wash with mild soap and water when needed. Avoid deicing salts in winter if possible, as they can damage the surface.
If you take care of your stamped concrete, it will look great for decades. We've seen 20-year-old stamped driveways that still look fantastic because the owners kept up with sealing. Ready to add high-end style to your property? Contact us to discuss your design ideas and get a free quote.
